  • Overview

    The Collateral Specialist maintains collateral related records, processes all paid loans, orders flood certifications and credit reports accurately, efficiently and timely in accordance with standard industry practices and in compliance with Bank policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor and complete incoming collateral related requests via mail and workflow systems; including but not limited to flood certifications and credit report requests.
    • Update exception tracking system with cleared items, notating missing documents and conduct research, including but not limited to real estate taxes and insurance.
    • Process UCC continuations.
    • Serve as back-up for document imaging, ordering appraisals and appraisal reviews.
    • Serve as back-up for processing paid loan files and prepare release documentation as directed by the Collateral Manager and Bankers. 
    • Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
    • Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients and vendors.   
    • Represent the Bank and Loan Services team in a highly professional manner.
    • Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.
    • Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Reliable and predictable attendance.

     

    Qualifications

    • Familiarity with loan related processes, such as real estate taxes and/or insurance preferred but not required.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a high functioning team environment.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with office automation equipment, including phones, computers and scanners as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Ability to self-manage, set priorities and operate with minimal direct supervision.
    • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
