  • Overview

    The Deposit Documentation Manager supports and drives deposit account best practices across all locations while overseeing the Deposit Documentation team. This position is responsible for providing operational direction to the Documentation team in accordance with established policies and procedures for Personal and Business deposit account support, account maintenance, CIP, IRA's, and other deposit account functions. This includes ensuring the timely and accurate review of new account documentation and customer account maintenance.


    • Motivate and lead a high performing Deposit Documentation Team to ensure the smooth operation of new account and maintenance documentation.
    • Mentor team members utilizing Strength Based Leadership Objectives.
    • Train and develop Deposit Services Documentation Specialists in all areas of job responsibilities, including regulations, account documentation, systems and related updates.
    • Clearly communicate performance expectations to team members and address any deficiencies in a timely manner.
    • Manage the Deposit account opening and maintenance systems; propose enhancements and work with core banking service provider to test and implement updates.
    • Maintain policies and procedures for all deposit functions.
    • Understand the implications of regulations across four states including Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. The Deposit Services Documentation Manager will also be responsible to research regulations applicable to other states as the bank expands. Additionally, the Manager will provide conversion support for the above noted activities in the event of an acquisition of another bank.
    • Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service and operations information; identify and evaluate trends; define objectives and evaluate outcomes and adjust strategic direction as needed.
    • Achieve financial objectives; forecast annual expenses and operate within budgetary guidelines.
    • Analyze service quality and operational effectiveness of Deposit Documentation and account opening and make improvement recommendations to the Director.
    • Provide guidance to all markets and act as a liaison between Deposit Documentation and other business units to ensure consistency; provide coaching, leadership and support to Bankers.  
    • Coordinate with Compliance team to ensure banks follow and maintain control of policies and procedures and regulatory requirements; complete audits as needed to manage compliance and operational risk.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional organizations.
    • Utilize Service Desk to track assignments; meet or exceed Service Level Agreements.
    • Support and uphold the vision, values and mission of CrossFirst Bank.
    • Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
    • Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients and vendors. 
    • Represent the Bank and Deposit Services team in a highly professional manner.
    • Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work; utilize Service Desk for tracking.
    • Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations and industry best practices.
    • Reliable and predictable attendance.


    • Exhibit strong management, leadership, recruiting, coaching and mentoring skills to effectively develop, challenge and motivate team members. 
    • Two or more years of demonstrated success as a supervisor or manager within a deposit operations and IRA support department.
    • Advanced knowledge, technical insight and experience in the development, implementation and documentation of Deposit administration/operations systems and processes.  
    • Proficient technical skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Working knowledge of FIS core processing and related systems is preferred.
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
